Brendon Pantano is the founder and CEO of Coastal Waste & Recycling. He also serves on the company’s board of directors.

Coastal was established in July 2017. Under Brendon’s leadership, the company has significantly expanded its hauling and post-collection operations, forging a path of excellence across all sectors. He has strategically grown Coastal from a single location in southeast Florida to 43 locations across Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

Brendon has built a team of professional, progressive industry leaders and created a company culture of accountability. He keeps Coastal’s core values—safety, integrity and customer service—at the forefront of decision-making, and his people-first leadership approach has helped grow the team to nearly 1,700 employees.

A third-generation waste professional with more than 20 years of experience in the waste and recycling industry, Brendon began his career working at his family’s waste hauling company in Dunkirk, New York. There, he gained valuable experience that led him to understand the full scope of the business along with the importance of building teams that provide exceptional customer service.

As his career advanced, he held various leadership roles in the industry, including operations manager at Sunny Farms Landfill, general manager at Liberty Waste, vice president of operations at ELS and district manager at Waste Connections.

Brendon was recognized by Waste360’s 40 Under 40 program, which honors innovative and inspiring professionals in the waste industry. He frequently speaks at conferences across the country on topics including company culture, leadership, organizational growth and industry best practices. He is a member of the National Waste & Recycling Association’s Future Industry Leaders Alliance and the Economic Council of Palm Beach County.

He lives in Boca Raton, Florida, with his wife. They are the proud parents of three children.
