Tony Fritz is director of sustainability at Republic Services, where he leads the integration of sustainability into corporate strategy and value creation. His team drives sustainability companywide by harnessing data to help customers reduce their environmental impact through reporting and analytics. Tony also works with stakeholders to track, update and communicate sustainability goals and to develop related business opportunities.

Tony joined Republic Services in 2024 after 25 years in the investment management industry. Before that, he was a portfolio manager with Norges Bank Investment Management for 12 years, managing a global public equity fund focused on environmental and industrial companies. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s degree in politics, philosophy and economics from Claremont McKenna College.
